Prayer Request

I received an email today from a friend conveying the damage done in Oklahoma city and some family friend that we know in that area. The email read:

"On Tuesday evening in Oklahoma City a massive F4 tornado took 3 of our friends homes.

The Soukup family lost all they had. House, 2 barns, and horses.Mrs. Soukup is 6 months pregnant with their ninth to top it off. *But* thankfully no one was hurt!

The Apel family lost their house, airplane hangar, barn and horses. They were all safe as well.

The Hamil's weren't so lucky.
The mother, Catherine, was in the tub with her 3 children taking shelter from the storm when the tornado hit. When help got there they had to medaflight Catherine (Who is also 7 months pregnant), Kathleen (5 year old daughter) and Cole (16 month old baby) to the hospital, while people searched for Ryan (3 years old) because he was missing.
Cole passed away that night in the hospital.
They found Ryan Thursday morning. He didn't survive either.
Catherine underwent surgery, Wednesday.
She had two surgeries at the same time.
One was for her arm, that was severely damaged.
The other, was for putting a pin into her hip that was dislocated.
Kathleen: Still in PICU.
They are going to try to take her off the ventilator in the next couple days. They are continuing to keep her sedated.
The dad, Hank was out of town when the tornado hit, and so thankfully he wasn't hurt by the storm.
These families have long roads to hoe now, and they can only do it with the help of God.

Please, please, please, keep them all in your prayers!
God Bless!"

Please pray for them and all the families who are in similar situations. Joplin county, which is only about 3 hours drive from our house, was hit with another tornado. I don't know the extent of the damage but it seems to be significant. Apparently, it is the deadliest single tornado for Oklahoma in 60 years. But it seems things are looking better than expected.

As of May 24, "at least 122 people died, a number that seems likely to rise. An additional 1,500 people remained on the official list of those who remained unaccounted for, which ballooned in a flood of worried phone calls but is gradually shrinking as the names of the living and the dead are scratched off." As of today, there are still 232 people missing since the storm hit.

Thank you! God bless you all!
