It's sad when you realize how old your animals are getting. Like Liberty. She looks, acts, and I have little doubt, feels old. But there comes a time in every dog's life to feel that way. She has a big bulge on her elbow, so we took her to the vet.
Of course, he prescribed a whole bunch of remedies; things that I have to give her. I have to give her 2 pills twice a day, 1/2 a pill for 4 days, give her 3cc's of an oral disgusting-looking stuff, and paste some horribly-smelling goop on her elbow, (which apparently if you get it on your own hands, it travels quickly into your blood stream, and shortly afterward you can taste it in your mouth.) Yuuck....But thankfully, I haven't had that revolting experience.........yet. But mind you, I'm not planning on it.
So, we, Dad, Mom, Chris, Michelle, Marie and I were all discussing about what to do with the pitiful dog. The doc said that it is likely we will have to have her elbow drained. And that alone would be rather expensive. "She has had her fair share of doctor appointments." Chris pointed out. "She probably has had more than even I have had," he continued. "Well, I'm glad about that," Mom said seriously.
And Chris, with puppy-dog eyes, and lower lip quivering, said pitifully, "You like the dog better than me, Mom?" And everyone burst out laughing. Chris included. Of course, Mom didn't mean it the way it came out at all. She was just glad that Chris didn't need to be seen by the doc as often as the dog.

I don't even know how many pills Wanda is on per day. She also has daily eye drops.
That must have been a pain.....
Also, Chris, you should be very relieved that you and Liberty don't have the same doctor, or hospital for that matter.
