Well, we are on a roll, now. Thrice now we have had to go to the ER within a time span of a week. And that's more than we have had to go these past 8 years combined! I had to go in on Saturday for my wrist, and Thomas had to go in the next day for his stomach. And yesterday, at about 11:30 pm we went to the ER because we thought John put an ear bud cushion up his nose. (I still have no idea why that would be appealing .)
Side note: As I am typing this Chris caught a mouse and now mom and John are escorting him and the mouse outside for an execution.
So as for Thomas and I, we were both fine. But we are still trying to solve John's problem. We brought him to the ER, like I said. That was the most FRUSTRATING time Chris and I have ever had in an ER. The doctor and nurse didn't seem to know what they were doing. But I won't trouble you with that now. In short, after making it worse,( I think that is an understatement, but I'll let it go for now,) they couldn't get it out. And we decided to wait until morning and see a different doctor.
It's 4:18 in the morning right now; John can not sleep, hence neither can Mom, and Chris and I were already still up. At this point we are all up trying to coax John to letting us get it out; Chris got a hold of it with the hemostat that we were using and it came down a bit, but we are still working on it. We are calling the hemostat an alligator, and the ear piece a rabbit because there is a little icon on it that looks like a rabbit. (We were able to tell that from the piece that is not in his nose. Haha.)
So, we tell John that the alligator needs to bite the rabbit in order to get it out, and he thinks the situation is a whole lot more funny and interesting. He laughed for the first time in a while just a minute ago. And all in all, he is doing awesome; amazingly well, especially with what incompetence he had to put up with in the ER.
We went to bed around 5:30 am. Today around 12 o'clock-ish we went to the ENT (ear, nose and throat) people. Their procedure lasted about 30 seconds and the little rabbit (aka: ear bud) was out!!! Yeah!!!!!
John was screaming becuase we had to hold him down this time, and Mom was jumping up and down with him in her arms trying to distract him from the pain. The doctor seemed to take this the wrong way and got a wrong impression of Mom. But, no matter, Mom didn't mind right now.
After we were all done there, we took John to go eat. Now, we are back at home, and everything is just dandy!
