Well, well, well, I didn't think I would be writing to you all from TAC in California so soon! But I am! I am in the mail room right now and loving it!
We pulled off the surprise fantastically! Only Chris, James and I knew I was coming in on Monday. Everyone else either didn't know I was coming at all, or thought I was coming in on Tuesday. Michelle had an idea that I was coming in Monday but she didn't know when.
(Side note here. I am no longer in the mail room but at home. Hee hee) When Chris and James picked me up from the airport, they were both really giddy! It was hilarious. All three of us ended up eating at Wendy's to kill time and also because we wouldn't make it back on campus in time for dinner there.
So we all get our orders and sat down. As James got up to get something, Chris picked up his straw and in a very playful mood shot me with the wrapper. "Hey!" I said in an indignant tone and a broad smile. Coming back to the table almost immediately following this little incident, James sat down and suddenly shot me with his straw wrapper. We all laughed. But after it was explained to James who had not observed Chris do the exact same thing to me just a little bit before, we laughed all the harder!
By the time we got back to campus - which was about 7:45 pm - Bridget H. was in seminar and we all knew Michelle was in the Sacristy doing work-study. So all we had to do was sneak into the sacristy and "surprise" her there. Nothing to it! I came in through the door right behind Chris. The lighting was a little dim which made it harder for her to see me clearly until I was in full view. Ahhhh! Even though she knew I was coming in a day early, she was so excited!
Next was to surprise Bridget H.. We were all supposed to meet in the commons at around 9:15 pm to go on the Rosary walk. At this point, Michelle, Hannah, James E., Chris, James and I headed down to the meeting place. In the middle of the commons was a big stage that had about a foot and a half clearance. No one we were supposed to meet with had yet arrived. It was time to wait. But soon Bridget H. arrived at the scene and Chris discreetly told me to dash under the stage. Sitting at the table at the far end of the stage, Bridget had her back to me enabling me to do an impressive (if I do say so myself) soldier crawl without being detected. I got out from under the stage. I snuck up behind her. She saw movement and turned around. Staring at me for 3 blank seconds, a squeal of delight suddenly burst forth from her smiling lips as she leaped up from the chair and gave me a great big hug!
But then I still had Bridge to surprise, and soon thereafter I got back under the secure cover of that old stage. It was a little bit of a wait, but needless to say it was totally worth it! Again she had her back to me and I snuck up behind her. Again she saw movement and turned around. Because I was in a crouched position when she saw me out of the corner of her eye, her initial thought was that I was an animal of some kind. She SCREAMED. It was a sceam dripping with terror and she lurched backward out of fright! But as she beheld me she kept screaming out of extreme excitement and surprise! Then she jumped toward me and gave me a huge hug! This all happened just after seminar, so there were a lot of people in the commons at that time, and Bridge's scream certainly got a lot of people's attention and probably caused some confusion and concern. But I have little doubt it was soon put to rest.

Haha... Good old Bridget. You can always count on her for a good scream. :)
