"Wheeeeeee!" came a little boy's scream through the kitchen. The sound hit the living room of girls like shattering glass. Immediately, Mom, Marie, Michelle and I all whipped our heads toward John as his bolted into the room and darted straight to Mom. Then John started laughing with a gleam in his eyes and held out his hands to Mom right over her lap.
"Look!!" he shouted with a sudden squeal of delight.
"What is it?" Mom asked, and soon thereafter got her answer. "AHHHHHHH!!" She screamed just as The Grasshopper sprung from John's little hands on to her lap. As quickly as she could, Mom flung the poor little thing across the room.
John's shrieking little laughter filled the air.
"John! I already have enough gray hairs as it is! I don't need you to add to them." Mom said good-naturedly.
Later John says to me with the same boyish gleam in his eye, "Katie, I scarwed Mom good, din't I?"
"You sure did, John!" I replied as he held his cute little dimpled hand for a high five. And I gave him one. Yes, sir, that kid has been too well taught.

Way to go! Teaching him the ropes at an early age. Although your Mom does make it it kinda easy and tons of fun.
