On Sunday, we (the Crazy Carolers) were privileged to sing for the Monks, which is something you are not able to do everyday. I really think it was the best performance we did -- even though we weren't as crazy as we were the last time.

When you are up on the pedestals, (like me,) you have an excellent view of all the monks' expressions. At one point though, Mrs. Gerber was explaining the origins of a certain song. For some reason it was very complex. In plain view, across from me sat Fr. Bethel, a very friendly, jovial, social monk. As he listens to what our choir director had to say about this specific song, his expressions changes with contortions proportional to the complexity of the speech she's giving. Needless to say, the effort necessary to maintain my composure rose with every second.
After our performance was over, the monks called for an encore, and it so happened we had one! Haha!
And when that was finished, the monks sang for us! It was lovely!
The young people in the area sang for the monks last year, but this was Marie's and mine first time. I must say it was fabulous! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
