A couple days ago it snowed about 3 inches. Now, the snow is still lying around and hasn't melted much - just enough to made it a little more slippery and a ton more fun!
Well, you all know me, with my crazy hair brained schemes. I was somehow able to convince Mom to let the boys Marie and I go outside and explore our snowy wild land. Even John was able to come! So, we headed out there. Again, the snow was about 3 inches deep and in some places, because of drifts, it was as deep as 6 inches. Since we all got over colds recently, Mom made sure we were all bundled to the point of smotheration! Especially John. Because he was so bundled, his cute little body had very little flexibility to take big steps over the snow. Even though he got tired after about 5 minute of walking out there he "did not wan to go hom." So, of course, Marie and I ended up taking turns giving him piggyback rides.

| Thomas was trying to sneak up on me; I don't know where he would get such an idea. |
John, being the youngest and the most tired, kind of got to run the show and had a great amount of leverage as far as deciding where we went exploring. At one point, while we were all in the woods, he suggested we go up one of the big hills instead of continuing along the flat path. So we did. There he was in his cute little outfit, all bundled up; his goggles were kind of too big for him and they probably slid down hindering his sight. I was right behind him making sure he didn't fall backward as we climbed up the hill. He was trudging very slowly up with his head bent toward the ground watching his feet intently.
There were little saplings all around but it was easy to make a little path and follow it without having to duck. But John wasn't really paying attention to what was in front of him; like I said he was only concentrating on where his feet were going. So, that being the case, he didn't notice the good sized sapling the stood right in his path. I watched him, expecting him to look up and move around it, but.....nope. He was literally about 5 inches from hitting it when I saved him just in time!! It was rather humorous!

| FIRE!! I was hard put to protect myself, because as you can see Mia was sitting down on the job. |
