Yesterday evening we went to the friend's house and had a blast. (It was about 1:00 am by the time we returned home.) We had dinner and pie with some really good stuff called Wine-Cream --- Oh, Soooo Good!! I have discovered that playing games like charades and the action pictionary (my team won by the way) makes you hungry, even if you have recently had a big meal.
Our poor friends. They used to have an amazing cat that would purr no matter what you did to it. The youngest boy, who is 6, would throw it up into the air, or drop it into their pool during the summer. And it got along fabulously with their dog. But a couple months ago, the cat got run over by a tractor and died. Then shortly after that on a very hot summer day their dog snuck into the car without anyone realizing it and it died.
After digging both the graves, the one for the cat which took about 3 hours, and the one for the dog which took about 5 hours, the older son (15 yrs. old) said jokingly, "We are not getting a horse." Everyone had a good laugh about it. But this actually has nothing whatsoever to do with this evening, because this all happened during the summer. So, anyways......
Now they have the cutest little puppy! It's soooo cute! And boy, does it have an advantage. Because it's so cute no one can get mad at it, hence, it can get away with a lot. And we probably didn't help at all when we all pampered her.
But, my Goodness! I have had three Thanksgiving dinners for three days in a row. The first was at Aamco, the next was at home, and the third was today. And boy, am I stuffed!
