Sleep Talking
Marie and I were talking in our room quietly because John was asleep in our bed, when he suddenly stirred. Shaking his hands hard and fast, he continuously blurted out, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" almost at the top of his lungs and stopped momentarily. Only a couple of seconds passed before he was rolling angrily around in the covers yelling, "Daniel! NO! No, Daniel! Daniel, 'Topp' it! I mean it! That is it!!!" We couldn't calm him down for quite a bit. The abruptness of it all had taken us aback, but it struck us as being very humorous, especially after he was lulled back to a quiet sleep and we had to TRY and restrain our outbursts of laughs. It's the little things like this, during the "quiet" times of the day, that hit you the hardest!
